We believe there should always be fresh pumpkin bread on hand during the Holiday season! Great for a quick breakfast, dessert, or on the side of your holiday feast, this easy-to-make recipe is baked on the Pit Boss grill for an added kiss of wood-fired flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tbsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 15 oz. pumpkin puree
  • Chocolate chips, optional
  • 3/4 cup butter, softened

Directions

  1. Preheat your pellet grill or smoker to 300°F
  1. In a large bowl, combine flour and spices.
  1. In a separate bowl, combine sugar and softened butter until creamy. Add eggs and mix until smooth. Then, add pumpkin puree until smooth.
  1. Add flour mixture 1 cup at a time into your butter/pumpkin mixture and stir to combine, being careful not to over mix.
  1. Fold in chocolate chips or chunks (optional).
  1. Divide into 2 small bread loaf pans and flatten the tops with the back of a spatula.
  1. Bake in the preheated grill for 70-80 minutes, or until a toothpick is inserted and removed with no residue.
  1. Let rest until cooled, slice, and enjoy!
