Cheesy & Spicy Jalapeño Popper Dip

Fuel your crew at halftime with this crowd-pleasing game day dip! Cheesy, spicy, and most importantly smoky, this dip is perfect for crowds of 2 or crowds of 20. Baked on a wood pellet grill, this recipe is easy to prep and even easier to cook.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. softened cream cheese
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 1 Cup Cheddar Cheese, Shredded
  • 1 cup Monterey Jack Cheese, Shredded
  • 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • Pit Boss Texas BBQ Rub
  • 4 oz. can of jalapenos
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 cup Panko bread crumbs

Directions

  1. First, preheat your pellet grill or smoker to 400°F
  1. In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream and BBQ Rub. Then, incorporate in your cheddar cheese, Monterey cheese, and 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese. Pro tip: Use a hand mixer for a light, fluffy consistency.
  1. Fold in your can of jalapeños. Then, pour entire mixture into a cast iron skillet or other oven-safe dish like a foil pan.
  1. To make the topping, in a small bowl, combine melted butter, bread crumbs, remaining parmesan cheese, and 1/2 tsp of BBQ rub. Spread topping evenly over the dip.
  1. Place dish inside smoker at 400°F and let smoke for 20 minutes.
  1. Serve with crackers of choice (BBQByMazie recommends Ritz crackers) and enjoy!
